About Us
We are a family owned and operated retail furniture store celebrating our 50th anniversary this year. With just 12-15 employees, we are truly a small business. We sell indoor and outdoor furniture from over 20 manufacturers. Located in Historic Downtown Gallatin, just off the square, we are situated around several boutiques and restaurants.

Summary
We are looking for a friendly, energetic full-time salesperson to work on the living room side of our store. Some prior sales experience is required; experience with furniture sales is preferred. As a salesperson, you’ll be working with 1-2 other sales associates as well as coordinating some logistics with our delivery guys and our bookkeeper. Someone who works well with others will succeed here. Attention to detail is required and interior design experience is a major plus.
Job Responsibilities
- Welcomes customers promptly and with a warm attitude
- Explains furniture information and features
- Responds to customer inquiries in person, via telephone, and potentially online
- Provides quotes, writes up tickets, and verifies customer orders; explains return policy and restock fee to the customer
- Processes and tracks customer orders
- Submits orders to the manufacturer via computer or fax
- Accepts payments and issues refunds accurately
- Tracks orders and updates customers
- Determines placement of furniture for the floor
- Assists store managers as needed and performs other responsibilities as requested
- Performs light tidying and cleaning during slow times at the store
Knowledge and Skills
- High school diploma/GED
- At least 1 year of sales experience
- Ability to operate a computer, telephone, calculator, and credit card machine
- Computer data entry, website navigation, and email
- Attention to detail
- Proficient at basic math
- Ability to work independently and with coworkers
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. to move small furniture
- Ability to sit, lift, stand, walk, bend, twist, stoop and kneel

Hours
- 5 days a week with Sundays and one other day off
- 9am-5:30pm with a 45-minute lunch
