About Us

We are a non-profit organization dedicated to providing coaching and exercise designed to optimize brain health, repair, and function.

Parkinson’s disease (PD) is a type of movement disorder that can affect the ability to perform common, daily activities. It is a chronic and progressive disease, meaning that the symptoms become worse over time. The exact cause of Parkinson’s is still unknown, but there is an enormous amount of research being done to learn more. This research has led scientists to formulate a number of theories on the cause of this disease. As of today, there is no cure for Parkinson’s disease. But there are many ways in which the disease can be treated to make symptoms more manageable.
Optimum Hope believes that everyone with PD should have continuous access to high-quality Parkinson’s Specific exercise programs with Cognitive, Emotional and uplifting programs throughout life.

There are over 60,000 people diagnosed with PD every year. More than 10 million worldwide. Today 4% of those numbers are younger onset. Young onset of Parkinson’s especially, needs to have a program such as this to decrease the effects, the dread, and the fear of the diagnosis of PD.
Optimum Hope! is the first Parkinson’s only gym in the Tennessee area that dedicates all of its resources and time to fighting Parkinson’s Disease with targeted exercise programs, and it is through community support that our center continues to find new ways to reach these goals.

Optimum Hope! is also unique in that it is a program developed by a therapist with 31 years of experience working with all levels of Parkinson’s Disease.
