Job Description

  • Develop strong working relationships with the Forward Sumner Economic Partnership (FSEP) workforce cabinet partners ensuring the alignment and leveraging of existing resources and practices and build the systematic approach of working together
  • Liaise with Sumner County Schools, TCATs Nashville-Portland - Hartsville, Volunteer State Community College, Union University of Hendersonville, and Welch College to create and identify work-based learning opportunities and pathways
  • Identify industry and business partners to build out work-based learning paid work experiences, including internships, co-ops, and pre-apprenticeships
  • Implement the certified pathways pilot program for health services, information technology, corrections and criminal justice, and construction.
  • Utilize the FSEP center for labor market intelligence for data inputs on the Sumner County labor shed opportunities for the high-demand, high-skilled, high-wage jobs and careers.
  • Maintain knowledge and a working relationship with the regional workforce partners including but not limited to the Northern Middle Workforce Board, Workforce Essentials, and the services providers working in the American Job Center
  • Maintain knowledge and a working relationship with the TN Department of Labor and Workforce Development staff
  • Conduct quarterly analyses to determine the efficacy and quality of WBL experiences, and for opportunities for expansion into new pathways
