Donation Ambassador

Full Time Schedule: Tuesday-Friday 8:30a.m.-5:00 p.m. and Saturdays 7:30 a.m.-4:00
p.m. $18/hourly

Reports to: ReStore Manager

Job Summary:
This position will assist in an above satisfactory customer experience through the acquisition of donated items. This person must be well versed on the HFHSC mission to relate this to the public as they are picking up donated items. This position is eligible for medical, dental and vision insurance, retirement contribution matching, generous vacation and sick time.

Responsibilities:
Donation Management and Pickup, includes but not limited to:

• Drive HFHSC vehicles to pick up donated goods
• Examine donated goods to ensure they are acceptable under HFHSC ReStore guidelines.
• Maintain an effective working relationship with ReStore staff and volunteers
• Maintain forklift certification and operate if deemed necessary by the ReStore Manager
• Prepare items and deliver to the sales floor as they are ready
• Assist in maintaining a neat and orderly stockroom
• Assist customers with drop off of donated items

Requirements:

• Valid Driver’s License and maintain a good driving record
• Ability to lift 75 lbs.
• Ability to spend the majority of the day standing or moving about ReStore. Work may require climbing ladders, considerable standing, bending, kneeling, and reaching in awkward and tiring positions.
• Apply training in the field on safe and careful practices of donation pick up and drop off as to not damage donated items or injure yourself.
