Walk Across Sumner

The Sumner County Health Committee is proud to announce the return of the annual Walk Across Sumner 5k and Fun Run! This year we are hosting the run in the evening and are going to use glow sticks and blacklights to light up the night and bring more fun to our annual event. 

During this 4-week campaign, we highly encourage Sumner County residents and students to get up and get moving. Participants in the county-wide, four-week campaign, are encouraged to walk 34.5 miles (the distance across Sumner County – corner to corner) in neighborhoods, local greenways and on walking paths in parks throughout the county during the month leading up to the 5k. CLICK HERE to find a park, trail or greenway nearest to you! 

New this year, you have the option to participate in the 4-week walking campaign by completing an Activity BINGO sheet or a WAS Walking Log. Completed BINGO sheets (The Entire Card) and Walking Logs must be turned in at the Gallatin Health Department or in-person on race day -October 18th. A completed BINGO Sheet or Walking Log enters you into a prize drawing, so do your best!!
