OSHA Fall Hazard Awareness for the Construction Industry

This course covers the identification, evaluation, prevention and control of fall hazards in the construction industry.  The course focuses on falls to a lower level rather than falls to the same level resulting from slips and falls.  Course topics include identifying, analyzing, and preventing fall hazards utilizing OSHA Fall Protection Standards.  At the conclusion of the course, students will have an awareness level of identifying fall hazards and methods to control and abate the hazards.  Minimum student contact hours:  5

Mr. Larry Irwin is the principal of a safety consulting firm located outside of Nashville, TN specializing in assisting businesses with OSHA compliance issues and workers compensation regulations.  Irwin founded his safety consulting firm in 1993. He is a veteran of the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam Era.  While serving as a Corpsman and Medic, Irwin found his passion of helping others in the safety and health field.  Irwin has conducted countless job site surveys and training sessions to make his clients and their jobs much safer.
