Come chalk the walkway at the Douglass-Clark House in Gallatin! The public is invited to enter a chalk drawing contest for a chance to win prizes! Bring your own chalk or use provided chalk (colors and quantities may be limited). Participants will register at the event. Chalk contest entries must be drawn between 10am-1pm on Saturday, September 7. Judging is at 1pm and winners will be announced at 1:30pm.
Levels:
Beginner – Group A (recommended ages 0-6)
Suggested theme: Favorites! Favorite characters, scenes, shapes, animals, people…whatever a current favorite is!
Prize: Ice Cream Gift Certificate from MaggieMoo’s Ice Cream & Great American Cookies in Hendersonville
Intermediate – Group B (recommended ages 6-12)
Suggested theme: Favorite Historical Figure! Pick a favorite historical figure from the past and draw them or a scene from his or her life!
Prize: Wristbands for Hendersonville Strike and Spare and Circus World
Experienced – Group C (recommended ages 13+)
Suggested theme: Favorite Sumner County Historic Site, Favorite Sumner County Artifact or Favorite Sumner County Historical Figure
