DESCRIPTION:Gallatin Shamrock Run 5K & 10K - Saturday\, March 11\, 2023 Downtown Gallatin Tennessee\n\n\n\nWHY WE RUN: \n\nThe Gallatin Chamber Foundation is the Gallatin Area Chamber of Commerce's 501(c)3 component that exists to encourage\, promote\, and support innovative enhancement projects and creative initiatives within the City of Gallatin.\n\n \n\nABOUT THE RACE: \n\nJoin us for the TENTH running of the Gallatin Shamrock Run. This is a fun run through Historic Downtown Gallatin\, Tennessee. This primarily flat course is great for runners and walkers of all ages and abilities. The 10K participants will run the 5K course twice and have a little over 90 minutes to complete the race. Participants in the 5K will be grouped by estimated completion time and have 60 minutes to finish. \n\n \n\nHOW DO I REGISTER? \n\nRegistration is available on RunSignUp.\n\n \n\nDETAILS & SCHEDULE ABOUT THE RACE: \n\nDeadline for Registration* to be guaranteed a race shirt is February 10\, 2023. \n\nDeadline to participate prior to race day** - Thursday\, March 09\, 2023.\n\n **Although registration will be available the morning of the race at 6:30 am\, pre-registration prior to race day is highly recommended. \n\n \n\nPACKET PICK UP INFORMATION:\n\nFor those of you who have registered for the 2023 Gallatin Shamrock Run\, packet pick up will be on \n\n Thursday\, March 9th from 2:00pm until 5:00pm and \n\n Friday\, March 10th from 10:00am until 5:30pm.* \n\nLocation: Gallatin Tennessee Chamber of Commerce\, 118 W Main Street\, Gallatin\, Tennessee \n\nWe highly recommend picking up your race packet prior to race morning. If you absolutely cannot make it on Thursday or Friday\, you may pick up your packet at the same location on Saturday morning at 6:30am. The race begins at 7:00am SHARP! \n\n*No Early Pick Up \n\n*Your Race Waiver must be signed to pick up your packet. \n\nNew Registration and Additional Packet Pick-Up: 6:30am \n\n Pre-registration\, prior to the race is highly recommended.\n\n\n\nROAD CLOSURES:\n\nRoads Close in and around the START SITE at 6:45am\n\n10K starts at 7:15am\n\n 5K starts at 7:30am\n\n All participants must complete the race by 9:00am. \n\nThe roads will open back up at 9:00am/9:15am. Anyone who has not completed the race will be asked to move to the sidewalk to complete their race.\n\nAwards Ceremony begins at 8:45am. Prizes will be awarded to top finishers male and female\, and awards will be given for the best St. Patrick's Day costume and the most team spirit. \n\n\n\nNOTICE:\n\n*Participants must register by February 10\, 2023\, to be guaranteed a race shirt. Any additional race shirts will be available at packet pick up. \n\n The first 500 participants to cross the finish line will receive a commemorative race medal!\n\n \n\nWe highly recommend participants read the Participation Guide in its entirety. \n\n\n\nParking Locations: Sumner County Public Library (enter from Smith Street) or park across from General Sessions Court on S Water Avenue (Maps will be available mid-February)\n\n\n\nABOUT THE GALLATIN CHAMBER FOUNDATION:\n\nAnnually\, the Gallatin Chamber Foundation funds innovative education programs in Gallatin K-12 schools through the Innovation and Enhancement Awards. Since 2014\, the Gallatin Chamber Foundation has presented over $50\,000 to Gallatin schools. In 2020\, the Gallatin Chamber Foundation expanded its awards to include scholarships for graduating seniors\, to honor the late Jim Hawkins\, a champion for education and the Gallatin area. The James B. Hawkins Good Neighbor Scholarship is available to seniors at Gallatin High School and Station Camp High School who exemplify the traits of a good citizen.\n\n\n\nSpend the day with us!
