Heart Health Fair at Highpoint Health
In observance of American Heart Month, Highpoint Health – Sumner with Ascension Saint Thomas, is proud to announce a community-wide Heart Health Fair. This event is designed to educate the local community on the vital importance of cardiovascular wellness and highlight the specialized resources available close to home.
The fair will take place on Friday, February 27, 2026, from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM. It will be held in the Main Lobby of Highpoint Health – Sumner, located at 555 Hartsville Pike, Gallatin, TN 37066.
Attendees will have the opportunity to visit various educational booths featuring heart-healthy information and live demonstrations. Key focus areas include:
Preventative Care & Screenings: Information on general preventative care, $50 cardiac scoring CT Scans, and free blood pressure checks.
Specialized Services: Insights into Cardiac Rehab, Cardiographics, Imaging, and Wound Care.
Lifestyle & Safety: Guidance on weight management and live demonstrations of Hands-Only CPR by the American Heart Association
"We're hosting this Heart Health Fair to educate our community about the importance of heart health and the resources available right here at home," said Dr. Geoffrey Lifferth, Chief Medical Officer for Highpoint Health with Ascension Saint Thomas. “The event aims to empower residents with the knowledge needed to maintain a healthy heart and navigate the extensive healthcare options provided right here in the community.”
The event is open to the public, and members of the community are encouraged to stop by to learn more about protecting their heart health.

Mar 14 Gallatin Shamrock Run 5K & 10K
The 13th annual Gallatin Shamrock Run takes place in Historic Downtown Gallatin, Tennessee on Saturday, March 14, 2026. It starts at Gallatin City Hall and winds through beautiful downtown Gallatin. This primarily flat course is great for runners and walkers of all ages and abilities. The 10K participants will run the 5K course twice and have 90 minutes to complete the race. Participants in the 5K will be grouped by estimated completion time and have 60 minutes to finish. Participants are encouraged to dress up in their most creative St. Patrick’s Day attire and to enjoy the festivities at the start/end of the race. Prizes will be awarded to male and female finishers after the race. Awards will be presented for the best St. Patrick's Day costume and the most team spirit BEFORE the race.
